We currently operate from a 3000 square foot facility in Niverville where we make and ship each product daily. We ship our product across Canada and the USA and supply over 500 boutiques across the two countries with our handmade product line.

Role: Shipping Assistant 

Hours: Part-Time, Year-round, 5 hours per day

Ideal Shift Times: 7:30am - 12:30pm or 8am - 1pm (start time is flexible but cannot be past 9:30 am).

Starting in September, this position will shift to a consistent schedule on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. 

Please note: we are not looking to fill evening or weekend shifts at this time.

Location: In Person - 290 Main Street, Niverville, Manitoba

Compensation: Starting at $16/hour

SOAK Bath Co is an all-natural, handmade bath and body brand based in Niverville, Manitoba. We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Shipping Assistant to join our team to pack orders + prep our product to ship to our incredible shoppers!! 

This is a local opportunity for someone with excellent organization and communication skills. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and accurate assembly and delivery of our products to our valued customers. Your primary responsibilities will include coordinating shipping activities (pick + pack shipments), prepping products for shipping, and maintaining a smooth workflow within the shipping department. When shipping duties are completed for the day you will assist in either light administrative tasks such as: data entry, updating inventory records and reconciling expense reports or help to prep products like applying labels to soap bars, bath bombs + our other incredible products. You will work mostly in Shopify, Google Drive, Quickbooks and shipping software. 

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate daily shipping activities, including order processing, packaging, labelling and dispatching of products

  • Prepare shipping documents, such as packing slips, invoices and shipping labels, ensuring accuracy and compliance with shipping regulations

  • Ensure proper handling and storage of products to maintain their quality and integrity during the shipping process

  • Navigate multiple software applications and be proficient with computers in general

  • Navigate software to schedule pickups with our shipping carriers

  • General administrative duties required to fulfill orders, create invoices and follow up on payments

  • Extensive work within Quickbooks, Shopify, Google Drive (Google Sheets, Google Docs especially) and various Shipping Software 

  • Product labelling: soap labelling as needed, general product packaging

  • General clean up of workstation and pitching in on dishes clean up as needed

Requirements:

  • This position is year round

  • This position requires physical strength, you will consistently be lifting 30 - 40 pounds of product - if you'd like to build arm + leg strength, this is the perfect opportunity to build it while you work!

    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion, our orders can get heavy! Save on your gym membership!

  • Age 16+ and have reliable transportation to arrive at work

  • A positive attitude!

  • Ability to work in a heavily scented facility

  • Open, honest and active communication

  • Willingness to learn new tasks

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards

  • Comfortable working in an ever-changing environment, we are a small business therefore hours and duties will fluctuate with business needs.

  • Able to work independently

  • Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods of time
