Which Products Do You Recommend for Dry Skin?

One of the most common questions we get asked is which products we recommend for dry skin.

The quick answer to that is we've compiled a collection of our top recommendations for dry skin right here: https://cksoakbathco.com/collections/dry-skin-collection

Our first recommendation: Neem Oil Soap Bar. Although all of the soap bars in the product line are made with all natural, moisturising ingredients like shea butter, coconut oil and avocado oil, there is one soap bar that stands out from the rest in its ability to offer a moisturising experience. Our Neem Oil Soap Bar is hands down a favourite amongst those with dry skin (just read the reviews!). The secret is in the Neem Oil. Neem is a plant grown in India, where Neem has been known to carry soothing properties for the skin. Fun fact, greenhouses use it as a natural alternative to keeping aphids away from eating plants. Neem oil in its raw state has a strong smell but blended into our soap bars, it offers the Neem Oil Soap Bar a subtle, yummy, nutty scent.

Our second recommendation, the Cocoa Butter Lotion Bar. Founder and formulator for SOAK Bath Co, Candace, has been making the Cocoa Butter Lotion bar for her dry skin condition for over ten years before even starting the business. Made with beeswax, raw cocoa butter, coconut oil and sweet almond oil. This solid lotion bar carries a whole lot of skin loving ingredients. The beeswax helps to solidify the lotion bar and creates a thin barrier when applied that helps to lock moisture into the skin. To use the lotion bar, simply apply the solid lotion to the skin and it will melt to the skin with your body heat. Apply it to dry skin areas like elbows, knees, knuckles and any particularly dry areas of the body. This can be used on full body. The best part of the Cocoa Butter Lotion bar  might just be the smell. There is no added scent to this product but it smells of subtle, rich chocolate which comes from the natural, raw cocoa butter.

Our third recommendation is our Cocoa Butter Bath Melts. If you're a bather, you've got to try these! And if you're not (what the heck?!) then these are amazing for an evening foot soak. These bath melts are made primarily of raw cocoa butter which is ultra moisturising so your skin is going to love it! Cut each of these squares in half so you can really stretch the pack. Drop a half square into the tub and allow it to melt with the heat of the bath water. It will turn into a bath oil so you can massage the melted oil and butter combo into the skin. Think of this like a lotion in the tub. It's amazing and it smells like the lotion bar, a rich, subtle chocolate smell that comes naturally from the raw cocoa butter.

What you may not know is this question is why our founder, Candace Alarie, started SOAK Bath Co. You see, SOAK started years before its inception from a humble kitchen counter top and a willingness to find some answers, naturally. Using skin loving ingredients like shea butter, cocoa butter, coconut oil, avocado oil, and sweet almond oil just to name a few, Candace could be found creating soaps and handmade potions most weekends. She was creating natural ways to help manage a very dry skin condition called eczema and after trying every medicated option on the market turned to natural alternatives. What no one knew was this weekend crafting would be paving the way for some of the most amazing products that would one day become SOAK Bath Co.
