Peach Cobbler Recipe
What's a more iconic summer dessert then homemade Peach Cobbler?! I guess maybe ice cream.... but ice cream is incredibly delicious alongside a fresh made Peach Cobbler!
Today, I'm sharing a recipe I whipped up in the kitchen with some leftover fresh peaches. This recipe can also be made with canned peaches if you're in a pinch (or the middle of winter) and have a craving for some fresh Peach Cobbler.
A few tips if you've never made Peach Cobbler before. I peeled and sliced the peaches then put them into a saucepan. The original recipe I was working from called for 3/4 cup of sugar but I dropped it down to 1/4 cup. You could likely heat these up with no sugar at all if you're looking to reduce the sugar content as the peaches themselves produce a really sweet nectar when placed in a saucepan.
The recipe calls to melt the butter down in the baking pan before adding your batter to it. (I thought) this was a little strange but it baked the cobbler beautifully and gave it a delicious buttery crust once it finished baking. When you're adding the "cake" batter to the pan it might seem like you've added too much butter to the pan (but it's what makes this all so delicious). I put all the wet batter into the pan and used a spatula, dragging it back and forth throughout the batter to incorporate the melted butter with the batter, then spooned the peaches over top.
If you'd like to see a quick snapshot of how I made this peach cobbler you'll find an instagram reel @cksoakbathco on how we made this recipe!
