Valentine's White Chocolate Chip and Smarties Cookies
We were inspired by Fraiche Living and Jillian Harris's Valentine's cookie recipe. I mean who doesn't love white chocolate and smarties all smooshed into the goodness of a cookie?!
We love this recipe for Valentine's or Galentine's Day to celebrate with the kids at home or to gift to your gal pals!
Valentine's White Chocolate Chip and Smarties Cookies
Ingredients
1 cup margarine or butter
3/4 cup white sugar
1 1/2 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
3 cups flour
1 cup pink and red smarties
1 cup white chocolate chips or chopped up white chocolate wafers
Directions
- In a medium bowl, cream together margarine, and sugars until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla, cream together.
- Add baking soda
- Stir in flour one cup at a time, then add chocolate chips and white chocolate.
- Scoop each cookie dough ball onto a baking pan lined with parchment paper. Tip: I scoop the entire recipe onto a parchment lined pan and put them in the freezer to freeze overnight. Once frozen, the dough balls can be put into a container and you can bake as needed.
- When you're ready to bake your cookies, put the frozen cookie dough ball onto a parchment lined pan. Bake at 350F for 10 - 12 minutes. Baking the cookie from frozen will allow the cookie to have a nice crisp outside and a delicious chewy inside.
